Dr. Sanjay Gupta on Medical Tourism

It's only seven minutes.
Read the article, too.

Both the article and the video are excellent. However, it's too bad that mention was not made of an Indian company which is owned by three Americans.

Actually, I don't know what you think, but if you were considering major surgery in India, wouldn't you want all your information to be from Americans actually involved in the process who LIVE on location to where you're going?

Knowing they pick you up at the airport/hotel and deliver you where you need to go, and speak American English, etc., gives a lot more warm fuzzies as far as I'm concerned.

Their name is appropriate enough as "America's Medical Solutions" (AMS) and being Americans they are proven to be the overall best help a patient traveling to India could want. Seems to me that just half of the article was missing this vital element and I'm wondering how the writers could have missed AMS because they've been around since 2006.

Thanks for the comment. Readers sho drill into the links, starting with your profile, will discover this link to your company, America's Medical Solutions.

As an American I agree with you it would have been nice to see some mention of your company, but CNN's global audience might interpret mentioning an individual enterprise as biased journalism.

I was surprised to see a food service pro, complete with chef's jacket and toque, wheeling in an international selection of menus from which patients (guests?) to choose. It makes me think companies similar to yours are operating in several countries.

Hi Hoots,

I too had thought of "biased journalism" from mentioning any company by name, but they did mention "Planet Hospital," so I guess it's not entirely out of the question.

Further, as far as I know, there is no other company in the world operating as we do with American personal concierge services provided without cost in the country of service. Let me know if you know of any. We accept tips, and certainly what they give us indicates how valuable they perceive our services. Thanks, Don
