Cartoons redux

Shades of Tawana Brawley! It's beginning to look as though a dedicated clutch of -- Who? Danish imams? -- may have been stoking the cartoon fires themselves.
Surely not!
Judith Weiss has a summary post for those who might be interested. Wikipedia has a lot of fresh meat as well. I am amazed at how rapidly that resource keeps up with current events. (It was also one of the most timely news feeds when Hurricanes Katrina and Rita were in progress.)

This is becoming a spectator sport, this relentless pursuit of facts by the blogworld. I may not know where to find where the bodies are buried, but I sure share in a surge of excitement when they are found. This is much better than CSI or Law and Order. I almost expect to see Telly Savales popping up with a lollipop sticking out of his mouth.

Cernig cheers on Dean Esmay.
Dean Esmay is foaming at the mouth. (And gets beat up a bit in the comments.)
Michelle Malkin is on the case...even found offensive icons at the US Supreme Court!

This whole affair began poorly and got worse. As a Christian I feel a bit guilty to be enjoying such a sub-Christian specter, but it's like driving past a car crash on the expressway...I can't help rubbernecking.
